My name is Heather Nunnelly. I'm a comic book artist currently working on a project called Vacant. From time to time I post updates about it here.

I post about random things I find on the Internet and add my oozing sarcasm to the mix. I also try and post up my sketches when I'm not too lazy. You can check out my art on the links below.

MICE

Was promoting Vacant here—-> www.ImagineTheEnding.net/Vacant.html

Came back from MICE tonight. Really really tired. Sorry. No photos. Forgot my camera. Whoops. Maybe if my friends post photos I’ll load some on here. Overall it went a lot better than I thought it would. Since I sold out of Issue 1 at SPX, and couldn’t get more in time for MICE, I thought I was going to be sitting around like a dope.

A lot of people, even though they didn’t buy anything, looked very interested and I got a lot of compliments. A few people signed up for the newsletter (YYAYYYY) which made it worth my while. The staff was also super nice.

Didn’t sell a whole lot though. Probably did the worst I’ve ever done as far as money goes. Can’t complain, however, or be upset, because I understand why. A lot of people wanted to get into the series but didn’t want to start at Issue 2. Which was understandable. So no hard feelings.

If you’re in the area, I’d recommend it for indie comic artists. There was a lot of good talent and the con goers were very polite and chatty. May come again depending on the circumstances. It’s a bit out of the ways for me, and makes for an exhausting bus ride.

Best comment made was when a kid walked up, pointed at my Bossn Hayze poster, thought it was cool and then asked me, “Did you draw all this?” referring to my whole table.

So I answered, “Yes! Drew, wrote and colored it.”

Kid responded, “I think that’s aawweesssommmmeee.”

Even though I won’t sell Vacant to kids, I appreciate that they think Hayze is cool.

Promoting people time:

Carl Meff.  Chatted with Michelle and I for a bit about David Mazzucchelli. Also gave us a business card.

Elizabeth Neronski. She sat next to me and traded me her comic for VACANT. They were really nice.

Tina Pratt. Bought this comic. Thought it looked really pretty. Love the designs.
